Wander With Me:

A Visual Journey

Here’s a look at some favorite moments

Some shots feature me hamming it up, others capture landscapes, local life, and moments that stuck with me. Each photo reflects part of my journey; they're not just vacation pics - they're memory markers.

Tallinn, Estonia

Three Estonian women in vibrant national dress, captured during Laulupidu 2025—the Song Celebration held every 5 years since 1869 that fills Tallinn with pride, tradition, and the power of voices united.

Snaefellsnes Peninsula, Iceland

Where waterfalls meet wizard-hat mountains—Iceland’s most photogenic duo of Kirkjufell and Kirkjufellsfoss.

Ollantaytambo, Peru

A quiet moment of tradition: a Quechua woman weaving by backstrap loom, preserving centuries of Andean craft. One of the most memorable stops on my journey through the Sacred Valley.

Machu Picchu, Peru

Peru's most iconic site - the mysterious ruins of the Inca stretching out across the ridge with Huayna Picchu rising behind. A bucket list destination for me.

Cartagena, Colombia

A Palenquera woman in traditional dress stands proudly with Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas rising behind—two icons of history and resilience in one frame.

Predjama Castle, Slovenia

A selfie with one of Europe’s most dramatic fortresses, built into a cliffside cave. Centuries of legend behind me—and a grin that says I’m loving it. Found this castle during my solo Balkan trip research, and even without my own transportation, I figured out how to make it a worthy stop along the way.

Rovinj, Croatia

A tall mug of local Croatian beer, the marina, and the Church of St. Euphemia in view. The perfect perch for people-watching after a day wandering Rovinj’s cobbled streets.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

From a high vantage point, the view stretches across the vibrant blue-green Adriatic, with the red-tiled roofs of Dubrovnik’s Old Town huddled behind its iconic stone walls. A striking contrast of sea and centuries-old architecture.

Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

A haunting blend of history and color. The old Olympic bobsled track, once a symbol of unity in 1984, now winds through the forest like a concrete scar or rogue art gallery. Now covered in vibrant graffiti, it's hard to forget its darker chapter: used by the Serb forces as an artillery position during the Bosnian War. Walking along it you're caught between color and conflict.

Three Sisters, Canmore, Alberta Canada

Quiet morning, mountain peaks and still water creating a mirror. Silence envelops the valley of Canmore, and the world feels paused—just long enough to breathe it all in.

Juneau, Alaska

A rainy return to cruising, framed by a totem pole and my Holland America ship docked in view. First voyage after a long break—and I’m back at the helm.

Matamata, New Zealand

Proof that magic lives in the hills of New Zealand's North Island at the Hobbiton movie set. Tiny house goals: Hobbiton edition.

Queenstown, New Zealand

One leap, 15,000 feet, and a grin that says it all. Touched down with adrenaline still soaring and a memory to last a lifetime. My first...and last time skydiving!

Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica

Not your average hotel room. This vintage Boeing 727, now a jungle perch is one of the most unique stays I’ve ever had. The wings double as balconies, perfect for watching monkeys swing through the canopy like they own the place — which, let’s be honest, they kind of do. The fuselage still feels like a plane, but with teak furniture and jungle views, it’s more Tarzan than tarmac.

Mt. Kilimanjaro aka Uhuru Peak, Tanzania

Smiling at the summit, lungs burning and legs shot. 19,341 feet up, and every gasp was worth it.

Mamou Prefecture, Guinea

A glimpse into everyday life: a traditional thatched-roof hut, built with local materials and timeless technique. No frills, just the kind of quiet resilience that defines village life across West Africa.

Giza, Egypt

A grainy film shot from 2004 at the foot of the pyramids, capturing a special moment with my mom and the timeless majesty of Giza. Her bucket list dream, and our final journey abroad together. Grateful we made it happen.
